Courgette leaves frosted keep or chuck

Hi, the plants were quite big and budding so one week ago I put them out even though i know its a bit early and covered them each night with poly tunnel type plastic but the recent frost has blackened the leaves, the stems, buds and small courgettes look OK.  Has this ever happened to you and did the plants recover. Thanks
