My daughter was an avid reader as a child, especially Swallows and Amazons and Famous Five. Indeed during this time she has been making recipes from these books and has a blog "Rachelcooksthebooks.wordpress.com " which is a good read too.I have finished the wild garlic pesto and am now starting to eat more weeds, this time the nettles (soup) and ground elder (salad). Last night we rang a large cow bell and an old bike hooter at 8pm. Amazing finds in the shed too. Things brought out for their annual airing. Cobwebs gone and shed tidied alas nothing thrown out as things round here remain closed.12

Hi everyone
Candygirl - I enjoyed 'Becoming' too. There's a documentary of it on Netflix too - I watched it the other night.
Had a bit of a 'can't be bothered' day today. Woke up with a migraine and went back to bed for a couple of hours -. helped my sore head but made me feel sleepy all day.
Read for a while this afternoon - I'm reading Olive Kitteridge by Elizabeth Strout - really enjoying it.
I'd forgotten about Ballet Shoes and White Boots.
Well I'm going to get my dishes washed up. Hope everyone is okay
