Can I ask for a refund?

I bought and paid for a team game - a treasure hunt of sorts - that was supposed to be running in my home town on June 1st. Obviously it's been cancelled. For various health reasons I cannot accept the alternate date of November that they offered me and have explained that to them, and they have no other date available in my hometown that would be suitable. I have asked for a refund as they are unable to offer me a suitable date, and they have refused to refund me, saying that they will be releasing dates for 2021. I don't really want to wait that long on the chance that something suitable will crop up.
Where do I stand on this?

Just to clarify - there are NO other dates in my hometown apart from November, which I cannot do due to health reasons0

If you booked that specific date and location, you are entitled to a refund because they can't fulfil the contract.
If on the other hand, you bought a voucher (of sorts), applicable to any date and location, it's less simple because they can fulfil the contract, it's just not convenient for you to do so.2 -
When I booked it it was specific to that date. They’re refusing to refund as they say a year away is reasonable.0
