Chargeback: Ryanair and Eurostar

I have had 2 trips cancelled due to coronavirus and have seen advice on using chargeback to finally get a refund. I have made numerous attempts to get some sense out of Ryanair but they are being very persistent in pushing me to accept a voucher. With regards to Eurostar, I emailed them a month ago and am still waiting for a response. I have tried to claim a refund via their online form serval times but this appears to be broken and won't take me past the first page. In both cases I don't want to accept vouchers as I have no idea when I will next be able to travel.
Does anyone have any advice on chargeback? Has anyone used it to successfully get money back from Ryanair or Eurostar?

I've done a Chargeback with a Holiday Extras transaction
Just raise a "Chargeback" against the transaction stating non-supply of service, (using proof of cancellation) also state that you have rejected any vouchers that you are entitled to do under English law.
The retailer can dispute the Chargeback , but it must supply evidence to the card company If the retailer wins the dispute the refund is reversed.
But hard to see how it would be if they clearly owe you a refund.
New User name as MSE gave me a number in my old one.

Hi I am trying to claim back a chargeback for Ryanair flights. I paid by Paypal but they are refusing to refund me as i booked the flights more that 180 days ahead. Ryanair were paid by direct debit from my Santander Current Account. Is there any way I can claim back from my Santander account? Thanks in advance for any help0

Not sure if your bank would help as you don't have a direct relationship with Ryanair, PayPal are a middle man and break that relationship.
Have you got your Ryanair voucher yet? You fill in the form to claim a refund and they send you a voucher. Ryanair are saying they will do cash refunds eventually, they have to by law. You may just have to wait for them to start doing that if PayPal won't help further.0
