Old debts showing as new

Hi, I was made bankrupt on 10th April 2014 and have done my 6 years now. The house mortgage which was listed in my bankruptcy has appeared on my credit file last July as the house was only repossessed then by bank of Scotland. I’ve written both signed for and not signed for with copies of my bankruptcy order but getting no response. A few other creditors also appear a few months after the bankruptcy date that were included in the bankruptcy. Any help is greatly appreciated

You're doing the right things, writing to all the lenders requesting they update the date of default to be no later than the date of bankruptcy, while also including proof of bankruptcy and proof of discharge.

As usual, if they don't rectify things within 28 days, refer the matter to the ICO.

Sorry you're having to go through all this again so long after the fact, I'm sure you were looking forward to blue skies ahead of you now after all these years.

You'll get there, just a little more admin and things will be squared away in a month or two.
