Iweb share dealing - can someone clarify for me

Hi,
I've opened a stocks and shares Isa with Iweb and have a question about the share price. Today I bought some shares, after I entered how many I wanted it took me through to an offer price with an expiry of 15seconds, the buy price was 289.something pence. I clicked proceed and checked my account to see the shares were purchased at 292.something pence. A 1% difference is pretty big imo, is this due to staffing / volatility of the market I.e normal or has something gone wrong?
Thanks for your help

In my experience the valuations are always 24 hrs behind, except when you are buying or selling. I use Yahoo Finance to track my portfolio/individual stocks real time, as well as uk.investing.com (great for tracking almost everything real time).Edit to add: It was quite a choppy day on the markets so your share price might well have moved significantly. 1% is not a huge deal on a day like this. I have one that is down 6% and another up 10% in my portfolio right now (NASDAQ) for example.1

I was under the impression the 15 second offer price is live? thanks for the heads up on UK.investing.com. Been using trade 212 for prices which I believe doesn't suffer from the 15 minute delay.0

Stamp Duty and commission. You got the price quoted but shows as bigger once those 2 things incorporated in calculation.2

Stamp duty and dealing fee I should have said..^^2

You will have dealt at the 15 second price you agreed to. Check your contract note when available; it will show the price dealt.

As mollycat has said, once you buy, it adds on the commision of £5 + 0.5% stamp duty and then gives you the average price paid per share which is what you see now.
