Hi, can someone please help, I'm filling out a Universal Credit application out online and I'm not sure how to answer the following questions in the work status section,

"Are you currently working?" - I am on furlough so I answer yes?
"Approximately, how many hours do you work?" - Do I put my normal working hours when I was working before being furloughed?
"How much do you usually earn?"  - This is the confusing part, do I put my 80% furlough amount I'm currently receiving or my normal full amount?

How will they know that I'm on furlough and receiving less?

Thank you.

Q1  Yes you are still employed

Q2  Put your normal working hours before furlough

    Q3 Put the furlough amount

They will get to know the exact amount you earn anyway.  HMRC will report it to them via RTI reports that your employer makes when running payroll.

  • Thank you kindly, claim completed :-)
