Asda Card parting ways with credit card provider Creation ....

Hi All, I hope someone is able to assist. I currently have flights booked with Easyjet which are scheduled to leave 28 May 2020 however I anticipate they are going to be cancelled. I paid for the flights with my Asda credit card, however, yesterday I received a letter from Creation Finance Services Limited/Asda Money advising that they are parting ways on 13 July 2020. It appears that Creation Financial Services provide the admin behind the Asda credit card. In the circumstances I need to know 1. who would be responsible for refunding the cost of my flights, Asda or Creation, if Easyjet go bump? 2. In the event that Easyjet repay the cost of the cancelled flights where would the money go?? to Asda card or Creation. Creation have advsed that they will be sending me a new card and Asda are working on a new card?? What a pickle - as if it isn't hard enough to get your money back for cancelled flights at the moment. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Creation our the card issuer so any refund will go to them as your card issuer and then they will credit your New issued card or write to you to get the money back if you decide your going to close the card as your not happy with the new terms etc for the replacement card service.
Your biggest challenge at present is getting the refund once it’s processed then it’s an easy process for it to be applied.

Thank you John - I will wait for Creation to send me a new card and won't close it down until after, hopefully, Easyjet repay the cost of the flights. I will also need to keep my fingers crossed that a transfer from the 'old' Asda card number to the new Creation card number will take place. Doesn't bode well ....0

Sorry John, I presume, let me know if I'm not correct, that Creation would also be responsible for underwriting the cost if Easyjet were to go under?0

It doesn't really matter who is responsible tbh, just contacting the Customer Services number will get you through to whoever needs to process a chargeback or S75 for you should it get that far.0

Sorry bradders I don't understand your reply, could you elaborate. I paid for flights on a credit card which is going to be discontinued. If the flight provider goes bust who will repay me i.e. Asda or Creation?0

In any case Easyjet have seemingly been good with refunds, so cant see any issues. Form on their site to complete and people have been getting the cash.

I am in similar situation. My holiday hasn't been cancelled YET but I booked it using the asda credit card. I am still waiting to pay the balance in July for the October holiday. Don't really know what to do for best. Can't imagine that a fully inclusive activity holiday will be back to normal by October.0
