Car insurer claiming against another insurer in my name

I never said I would not provide information, documents, evidence and help. The other insurance company has admitted liability! What more do they need? I have a text from my claims handler stating the other insurance company admits liability. The money is owed from one insurance company to another. it seems dodgy to make me claim that money is owed to me in a County Court.0

Accepting liability is one thing. Accepting the settlement of damages is quite different. It could be anything as simple as the other side having made an oversight and not acting quickly enough to make a payment, or as difficult as the other side saying that they think your insurer isn't minimising the costs sufficiently, as it has a responsibility to do.0

Why the resistamce? What is actually required of you?1

What is required of me? Potentially having to go to court for a debt owed to my insurance company by another insurance company. I have just realised my insurance company are using the legal expenses insurance that I paid extra for (optional extra to benefit me) to instruct lawyers to act on my behalf to raise a County Court claim against the third party insurer in my name. What would they have done instead if I didn't have this optional extra that was intended for my own benefit not theirs? As the innocent party in this incident, it seems that all the burden is on me. The bus driver acted without due care, his insurance company has not paid up after admitting liability, and my insurer has encouraged me to use their approved garage while assuring me that the other party had accepted liability and I didn't even have to pay an excess.

The bus drivers insurers have admitted liability but they have not paid up.
How else do you think your insurers should recover their outlay on fixing your car?
They have done you a favour by fixing your car without you having to pay at this stage and you are now complaining in an ungrateful manner!1 -

You can't argue that they are obliged to do something under a contract then ignore your obligations under that same contract.3 -

Stick you your principals as you've written proof the third party has admitted everything.2 -

Not insisting on waiting for this sounds like a favour to me.
Anyway you can complain as much as you like but if you don't cooperate the insurance company may well come after you for the excess and maybe the cost of the repairs which will likely their right as laid down in their terms and conditions in which you agreed to assist in them recovering their outlay
It would be interesting to see the exact wording of the text0
