Misspelled cheque

Hi,
We have received our holiday refund by cheque today but my surname has been spelled wrong (only by one letter at the beginning of my surname).  Is the bank (Halifax) likely accept or reject it if all the other details are correct?
Don't want to have to go to the bank if i don't need to

Just use the app and scan it. why go to the bank.

As for failing. Up to whoever processes it, probably depends on how bad the changes are. Though some will get processed with a completely different name as often no attention is paid to the details.

If you have to pay it in person explain what they have done - if it is a small error they might accept it.
Don't go off on one if they say no - if the holiday booking was made using the correct name it is the holiday company  that you should be angry with.
Did you pay using a cheque? I would have thought if it was a card payment the refund would have automatically gone back onto that card and you would not have had this problem.
