Can a company insist on processing your refund using the card you payed with originally?? The card in question already had a balance on it with a really good rate that I’m paying off over the next year so I don’t really want the refund to wipe that clean. Any ideas?? Thanks

Yes they can and they will insist on doing that way.
Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:1 -
The default method is to refund to the original payment card, due to AML regulations.
However, I know from very recent personal experience, that at least 1 travel company will refund to a nominated bank account, and in fact have recently changed their refund process to that method.
So OP, you could ask the company, but they could refuse.
