Currys e-gift Card Debited in Error

Bought £470 Currys e-gift vouchers via works reward scheme, came in form of six vouchers 2 x £200, 1 x £50, 2 x £10.
Tried to make a purchase but after adding in vouchers to pay the item went out of stock and order did not complete.
Item came back in stock the following day but when adding vouchers into purchase the £50 voucher had a zero balance.
Despite my best efforts I cannot get Currys to recredit the voucher.
The rewards company cannot help, it has to be the retailer, although I paid by credit card, the rewards company delivered what I paid for so I don’t think chargeback is an option.
Any ideas as to how I can get my money back?

You need to keep trying Currys, it's their system error that's behind the problem.  The rewards company have done their bit so as you say, your credit card provider won't intervene.  Keep all the records of the transaction not completing (go back through your web history) so you can prove to Currys that the voucher has glitched.

Thanks for the reply, sounds like I’m doing all I can for now.
  • Did you manage to get this resolved? I've had the same thing happen to me today with a £200 gift card. No help whatsoever from Currys so far

I had the same happen to me on Tuesday with a £200 voucher - still don't have the money back. Cannot get anybody at Currys to put me through to the gift card team to get it sorted.
Does anyone know how to get in touch with them - surely if you can give them the e-gift card number they can track that it wasn't used on an actual order and recredit?
  • I thought the same. I've spoken to them via Facebook messenger and they claim they're looking into it and it should be refunded within 48 hours but I honestly don't hold much hope for it getting sorted anytime soon. It's really frustrating and £200 down.
