Are you sure as when I log into my Barclaycard and then go to the statements part and open a statement it shows what my Barclaycard is and what the card number is. It’s located on the left hand side of the statement at the top.GettingThrough84 said:
Unfortunately I can't find the 16 digits, the Barclaycard statement only lists the last four digits and I can't find them anywhere on my online banking. Is there a way to find your card details if they aren't on your statement and you don't have a card anymore? I've even looked on my credit report to see if they had them.mcpitman said:Hi,
Use the 16 digit card number on your statements from Barclaycard.
Input that into balance transfer screen on Virgins website.

When you say ”apparently if you have a closed account there is no way to transfer your balance", where are you getting this information from or why do you think that is the case?Statement of Affairs (SOA) link: https://www.lemonfool.co.uk/financecalculators/soa.phpFor free, non-judgemental debt advice, try: Stepchange or National Debtline. This is what Barclaycard support told me, they said it's not possible to do. I said I thought that was pretty awful to keep people in debt. I did end up finding my credit card number- it's not on my current statements but it's on one a couple of years old. I've seen elsewhere people saying you could try to do a balance transfer using a made up expiry date on a closed account. Feel a little weird trying something like that though, is it even legal to do?When you say ”apparently if you have a closed account there is no way to transfer your balance", where are you getting this information from or why do you think that is the case?0 -
You need to keep with the payment plan and get it cleared down.

One odd thing is the OP mentions high interest rate.kimwp said:When you say ”apparently if you have a closed account there is no way to transfer your balance", where are you getting this information from or why do you think that is the case?
Usually a payment plan and closed card will mean that you are not paying any interest. Only the balance. In effect they have written the interest off as a way of getting something back.
As to transferring the balance. It could be that due to the payment plan any transfers are blocked.
Has the OP actually got a approved offer of a 0% card, or is it just saying you will get one? If it is the latter then a very good chance, once they realise their is a payment plan in place the offer gets declined.Life in the slow lane0
