Should I ditch Virgin CC for Amazon CC?

Hi
I recently (5 months ago) switched form Natwest CC to a Virgin Atlantic Reward+ CC.
We had some future travel planned overseas so I figured this would be the best for rewards.
However, things have changed obviously both for travel and also in terms of risk whether there will even be a Virgin Atlantic in a couple of months to use the points...

So I'm thinking about switching to the Amazon CC for Prime members instead as I order alot there anyway.
My credit score is "good" but only 943
I think this is due to "too many applications" because I also switched from Natwest to Nationwide for my current account a couple of months ago (didnt end up getting a CC from them though).

So.. should I get that Amazon CC or will that be a red flag for "too many applications".
I honestly dont understand if 943 is considered a good score or if it's more like ratings on ebay/amazon where 94% would pretty much be a red flag already

Many thanks

Your score isn't real. It's purely a comedy gimmick for your eyes only.

If you have a decent credit history, then apply for the card you want.  If your history is patchy or you're over indebted, keep your expectations modest.

From what you say though, there's no harm in applying.

You also won’t get the £160 fee refunded from the Virgin card either

Have you tried the Amazon eligibility checker?
    https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/cobrandcard/marketing.html
That will tell you if you have a reasonable chance of getting the card without a hard search on your account. Unless there are fees involved - I wouldn't close any credit card account unless you have to.
