I had a smart meter installed a few years back by Eon.

When I moved supplier a few months later the meter became dumb and stopped sending readings.

I have just gone to send a meter reading to my supplier and to my surprise the meter has started sending readings again.

Is this old news?

Oops sorry! The energy forum didn't show on the mobile site, it only gave me the options for this forum or water.

I've switched to desktop view and can see it now, can a mod move the thread please.

It's news to me. I had no idea your smart meter had gone dumb, let alone started sending readings again!

My Eon smart meter went dumb when I left them, and remained that way even when I returned (they said they couldn't reconnect and I had to wait for the DCC). When I switched to Octopus earlier this year they were able to connect via their SMETS1 system and my meters are once again providing readings.
