Same account number if transferring Santander 1-2-3 account to 1-2-3 Lite?

I've decided to switch my Santander 1-2-3 account to a 1-2-3 Lite account. Does anyone know if I keep the same account number if I request the transfer via the application feature on the Santander website?

I switched last month and it's still the same account number. you just go on the santander 123 page and click on downgrade to the lite account. I made a mistake first and opened a new lite account but called them and got it cancelled and downgraded the account to a 123 lite account.Someone please tell me what money is0

One point to be aware of …. changing your account type will reset your monthly start date to the day the change took place.
e.g. when I had full 123 my month ran 19th to 18th, when I changed to 123 Lite on 1st Oct, my month now runs 1st to last day of month.
May not be of great importance to most, but might be useful for some!

Interesting point - what's the significance of the monthly start date? Does that dictate the interest period?Bobblehat said:One point to be aware of …. changing your account type will reset your monthly start date to the day the change took place.

Hi,there is no interest on the Lite, still get cashback on DDs.0

It could make a difference to how and when you pay in the minimum of £500pm … as the "pm" is not calendar! Not usually a big deal unless you have a "payment in" that could fall either side of the month start date. I had a payment that could land in the previous month from the normal situation and exceed the £500 in that month, but then leave the next months deposits short of the £500! Bit of a nuisance, but probably only significant to a few!itm2 said:
