Tui Amendment Fee Refund

My question is travel related, back in September 2019 I booked a land based holiday with Tui to Majorca on 28th April 2020, After a few weeks I decided to change holiday to a cruise. This change had an amendment fee of £100.00 which I was happy to pay, to have my chosen break.

Holiday cost me £2,081.00 plus £100.00 amendment fee. Grand total £2,181.00 this amount was paid on a Mastercard.

As a result of the Coronavirus outbreak, my holiday has been cancel by Tui.

Yesterday I spoke to a lady from Tui call Natasha to ask for a refund on my holiday. She checked my file and confirmed a refund is available, not to the Grand total value £2,181.00 but only £2,081.00,her explanation is the amendment fee is not part of my holiday package? Am i entitled to a refund to the amount I have paid out, or whether I should accept £2,081.00 from Tui, then approach Mastercard for the outstanding £100.00 on a chargeback scheme.

You are entitled to the cost of the holiday , not the fee to change it originally.

I have the same issue, however, we had to make the amendment through no fault of our own. Tui changed the plane & the premium seats we originally booked were no longer available. My husband is disabled & he cannot manage without the extra room. We contacted their special assistance dept. but they said there was nothing they could do so we had to change the date & the airport we were flying from & had to pay over £500 in amendment fees. Had our email yesterday with the credit voucher & we are short the amendment fee. Do we stand any chance of getting it back as it wasn't our fault we had to amend it?
