Unable to verify ID on Gov Gateway

I created a Govt Gateway account last week in readiness to claim SEISS. I am unable to verify my id on HMRC page and the webchat is totally unhelpful . Can anyone help me. Apologies if this is not posted correctly.

Post it in the tax section as its not a CV related question and you may find more people there to help.  Its very easy for threads to go missing quickly in this section due to volume.
I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.
  • Where is the tax section please on this forum. I'm intrested to hear replies to this question

Go to Experian , sign up for the free one month trial. Download your credit report or have it open on another computer , then select the option on the Gateway registration site  that allows you to answer questions about your financial history ,you need experian as it will ask very specific questions like , when did you last take out a store card etc
