credit card insurance

Options

Hi

I know it sounds like a daft question but my partner bought my daughters prom dress on her credit card end of last year, her prom has now been cancelled and the dress cost £600.  somebody mentioned to us at weekend that maybe the credit card insurance would cover that and pay the money back, i very much doubt it but its worth asking the question

any advice please?

    No.

Your card company didn't cancel the prom, so have no liability.  They probably didn't even know she was going to one.

no - the dress was supplied as requested so there is nothing to claim for.

There is NO Insurance on Credit Cards.

That isn't really helpful. The poster clearly means S75, credit card purchase protection.  Or you could say:
Insurance isn't available on credit cards, however S75 is not applicable in this case either.

On another note, why on earth would anyone pay £600 for a prom dress. I can't understand that.
