Hi all,
i know sites are not open and have read through the guidelines. does anyone know the answer as to if we are allowed to park up overnight in free places as we did before all this kicked off.

The latest advice on Sunday and Monday as per Boris's statements I understood was that we could drive a bit further to go outdoors and exercise, enjoy the outdoors, but journeys had to be returnable within the day and not require staying away from home.
If that understanding is correct, then parking up in a camper in a lay-by would not be permitted.1 -
This is 1 of the pitfalls of owning a campervan in the current situation.ronniecamperman said:Hi all,

Your going to have to be patient and ride it out until your told it's safe to do so.0 -
I don’t think we are there yet. Camper vans have become a very emotive subject, particularly as there were tales of them breaking the lockdown. A lot of rural areas will be suspicious of them for a long time.
I’d really like to see campsites open, though that might be August. I’ve seen some suggestion they’ll only allow self-contained units, with toilet blocks closed.0 -
