Should a delivery company charge for storage

My auntie in Hong Kong paid for door to door shipment and delivery of 2 cabinets. When they arrived to the UK in April, due to lockdown the delivery company, Fox International Moving and Storage, claimed they could not deliver and are now charging for storage handling charges and storage rental which is £102.86 for one month so far. Surely they cannot charge me for storage when they fail to deliver a service? Is this legal? I am fine with it being late but not happy about the charge. It feels like they are ‘trying it on’??!

There is no legal reason why they can't deliever they are choosing not to. The governemnt did not shut down movers, so they are the ones not keeping to there side of the service. £100 for a month for 2 cabinets is a bit excessive so trying it on I would think. What does their terms and conditions say about storage charges? If nothing and they have just added it you could always add your own, late fee.0
