British Airways Voucher useless!

Hello I wonder if anyone else has had any issues with redeeming their voucher from British Airways? I was happy enough to take a voucher but have no way of redeeming this, you can’t use it online but they are not picking up the phones! I have tried to call them loads of times at different times of the day and don’t even get into a que just told to call back? Seems that although tried to do a good thing in taking a voucher I may never get to use it at this rate! Anyone else had issues or been able to use the voucher?

I think it's one of those cases where you might just have to constantly redial until you get lucky and manage to get a space on the queue0

Unfortunately there isn’t even a que. just get told they are busy then cut off. I know we are not going anywhere right now but the voucher is worthless is the airline was to go bust, I want to redeem it as soon as possible to be protected.0

Try 0800 727800 but don't press any buttons when prompted. I got through in 2 mins yesterday afternoon.0

Or wait a couple of weeks and a refund might appear in your account - it did in mine, much to my surprise.0

I phoned BA yesterday to book flights using my voucher. I accepted a voucher long before our flights were cancelled so were happy to have them. I tried to call at 8.30am and got cut off, so then tried calling again and pressed other numbers on the menu rather than the one for Future Travel Vouchers. I got through very quickly and whilst I got through to someone from a different department, he then put me through to the correct department, again very quickly. I was pleasantly surprised too as I was booking the same flights to the same destination as I would have visited this June, but next year they are nearly £300 cheaper!. Suzanne, the BA customer service lady said that a new voucher would be with me in a week or so with the rest of the balance that I could use towards other flights. That voucher arrived today in my inbox. So I'm pleased with BA, especially as I had other flights booked this year with Ryanair and Easyjet, and dealing with them is not so straightforward (see my other post). So well done BA!0

You can enter flight details on line as a new customer and then you have the ability to put in your voucher codes. Annoyingly having done that it didn't recognise either the email the vouchers were sent to , my name or the voucher code, despite being 10 digits as requested so had to go on book flights without voucher.Will now ask for a cash refund as they are being obstructive , purposely or inadvertently doesn't really matter which one. They should see how Amazon lets you use vouchers when ordering if they want to see how easy it is to get right!0

I desperately need the money and am stuck as to what to do!

Hi, I have just checked through my emails for an update from BA about my refund and realised that they have sent me a voucher. I didn't want one and now not looking forward to trying to use it or sort it out as refund!!
