& you carried on saving into them after all badger? not long ago i was putting £1000/m into HSBC/M&S/Nationwide at 5%.. now just HSBC for another 3-4months and it's over for me. i put money away into other plans on a monthly basis, but i don't think cash is worth salting away without something useful from the providers.0

not sure what you mean. point is i'm still Investing, but not Saving, on a monthly basis, if we define saving as saving in cash. main benefit of the M&S Current Account, for example, was access to their 5% regular saver, and back to topic that's an account i'm up for transferring if there's an incentive up for grabs.0
