Fair price for delivery per mile?

I've a large, expensive item that I'd like to sell on eBay. It weighs about 30kg and is worth around £750.
To avoid scams, item not as described returns, etc. I'd like to offer delivery by myself in person and cash on delivery within a certain radius.
What would be a fair price for delivery, how many pence per mile?
Thanks.

Before you do decide to use eBay please have a read of

Just as a start what happens when someone pays you by PayPal as that is what will show as preferred on the invoice and that’s what the ‘pay now’ button will take them to? OK you can refund but don’t forget you then pay all the PayPal fees and potentially risk buyer refusing to pay cash.
I would take your own advice And find somewhere else to sell .I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. On delivery to charge, 30kg parcels can be sent at somewhere around £10 + if you shop around. Insurance for £750 parcel would push it to £40, possibly more.

Used to be way cheaper to collect some items, but as the fuel costs increased it was quite often cheaper to have
it delivered.
Just had a delivery of 70kg, even that worked out about even on the fuel price. Add in the time and wear and tear
delivery was the sensible option.
How will you make sure the buyer is within your delivery radius? And the fact they dont pay immediately with paypal?
Deposit by paypal, sensible (not?). They pay a deposit and deliver/collect then claim INR and get their deposit back?

As the rules stand at the moment there are a number of risk factors in selling collection only items on eBay , no one can tell you to sell, or tell you not to sell but at least before you decide, do read and understand the terms and conditions you agreed to.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. To help people regarding eBay, auctions, etc. Provide help, advice, etc?Maybe I've misunderstood what this Forum is actually for?So after 8 posts nobody has actually given any advice on what they think a fair 'Price per mile' for delivery is.Thanks, anyway.

A fair price only matters to you and your buyer and neither of you will be considering it separate from the item sale price. I have paid £50 for about 5 miles - because I liked the total price. I have not bought things with free delivery because the price wasn't right.
But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

If the item is worth £750 then a buyer will pay £750 and nothing extra, unless it's incredibly difficult to get from somewhere else.
If you don't really care about your ebay account, then just type a non-existent paypal email address into the listing and if the buyer is stupid enough to not read, they'll be refunded eventually0
