Travel Agent booked flight in error at my cost
Comments

This is the last comment I had from the agent
BA/Lime are not willing to offer any refund or compensation for the cancellation and rebooking of the AR flight that you took.
I have followed through with BA but as mentioned I am going round in circles with them and not getting anywhere, hence my
I do feel that BA/Lime are at fault and we had a few passengers in the same situation as you and they were not helpful with those either.

It is a total nightmare, just going round in circles, and you need to show who is a fault as it's a blame game atm
I would lodge a complaint against BA saying they failed to reroute you and you want the cost of the flight you have booked as they failed to give your travel agent clear advice on what was happening.
Hopefully you will win, but if BA shows evidence that it's the travel agents fault, then at that point you can go after the travel agent if you want.

BAs reply the flight LA8093 is the flight from Buenos Aires to Rio
An update from British Airways
Thanks for getting back in contact. I can see from your booking on 19 March your travel agency requested for you to be booked on to flight LA8093 on 21 March and this was honoured.

It does look like it's the travel agents mistake, but the risk is, if you go after them first, it's much harder to prove.
If you go after BA first, then their full evidence can be used against the travel agent.

Thank you my reference case with BA and contact has made it clear the answer is no compensation, can you suggest how and what route I should now proceed against BA0

First I would make a complaint about the decision.
If no change then I would try the method below, I've never done this, so others might have a better suggestion

Thank you for your help I have been using that link, I still have the reference case no as I am waiting for compensation on economy to premium. BA have been helpful but unfortunatley they will not take the complaint serious, they think they are in the right, they just keep saying no. I will just have to try another method
Thank you anyway0 -
They might think they are in the right, always best to see if they are, good luck with getting your money back somehow.
