Hi, i am wanting to get our DD (and one for myself) who is away at university, a webcam for christmas.
I only need it for windows xp, and it does not have to have skype.
As i know chuff all about webcams, my requirements are, priced up to about £25, a decent quality picture, it must be easy to set up and use with MSN, Yahoo and AIM.
I have spotted these on Amazon
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-Quickcam-Messenger-camera-colour/dp/B000JK8RWY/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1196505499&sr=1-5
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Creative-Webcam-Instant-Skype-edition/dp/B000CQK1B0/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1196505499&sr=1-6
http://www.amazon.co.uk/CreativeLive-Cam-Video-IM-Skype/dp/B000KFQT7S/ref=sr_1_16?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1196505499&sr=1-16
Are any of these suitable or recommended.
Maybe someone has a better choice that they use themselves.
Thanks if anyone can help me out

No need to pay that much for a webcam!
None of these cams have a frame rate greater than 25fps.
I am assuming that both of you will be on broadband, so picture size, whilst important is not the essential criteria, but possibly picture quality may be
If you will not be on for hours and hours, you don't want to use it as a still camera, and the your lighting quality is relatively good, then you really do not need to spend more than a tenner each cam, and the Logitech-OEM-QuickCam-Express would be more than suitable.0 -
Thanks Red Rose Exile
.
Yes both of us are on broadband. The only problem i see from your recommendation could be the lighting. Its fine at DD`s house, but our house is a bit of a dungeon when it comes to lighting up the room lol.0 -
Have you got a desk lamp you can sit near you?
That is usually adequate0
