Morning all
Dumpling hugs to you take it easy on yourself well done on the weight loss
TA I am glad yesterday went as well as it could
Mum had her call from the consultant before i got there and she has to go for an ultrasound next week and then probably a minor op she could have it done whilst awake but they tried to do it before and it left her with major trauma something happened when they were investigating her infertility over 50 years ago and she had terrible flash backs so it needs to be done under an anaesthetic so roll on next week and hopefully we will have some answers .
Nothing much to do today just the usual swish round we are trying to eat what we have before we restock so no shopping today .
Have a great day whatever you are up to x

Good morning folks.I've been up and out early, I really do prefer these spring mornings when (most of) the world is still asleep. Love your thought for the day MONNA, it's so true! The shop was quiet so I was able to get the few things I wanted fairly quickly and then went to the gazebo market for an invigorating coffee. I took it to swan lake for a bit of soothing nature. In Scotland we are advised to wear mouth coverings when on public transport or in enclosed spaces with people not from our household or crowded shops, so it amuses me to see some in their cars, driving alone, wearing masks. I suppose they are going / have been shopping so I don't judge, just smile. Mind you, wearing coverings doesn't seem to have caught on with the majority of those with one being Asian / Chinese. I think it's more common as they have been through the SARS infection which mostly left the UK untouched.DM has her paper, been fed and watered and is happy enough. I'm going to organise the documents and files on my laptop, something I started yesterday. When I scan in documents I've tended to just have a folder with the date on, now it's time to move all those files into their own folders. Boring though necessary.
Now I hope that everyone is doing well or coping, I'm dipping in and out of feeling OK, mostly OK!Happy Tuesday to all.13 -
Morning all, I was up early, well for me so I put a load in the WM and hung it out. Thought I broken the WM too as it was beeping like mad with all lights flashing and I couldn't open the door to get the washing out ! Apparently I'd knocked the little window thing at the front open........silly me, but all is well with it now.I had a bad night with bizarre aggressive dreams and I seemed to be verbally and phsically fighting unknown persons every time I closed my eyes. I feel tired and agitated today but I'm hoping I will feel better as the day wears on. I don't know what housework lays ahead either because at the moment I just want to sit, so we shall see how I feel later. Tea is leftover pulled pork in a roll and a rice salad.Yesterday we were sent an email from Iceland offering us a priority shop for this morning, so we were on at 9am and got one for Thursday delivery as I wanted fresh fruit and veg. Mr Fix it was clicking away so I don't know what extras we'll have this time, but it won't be chocolate as I sat next to him and supervised when he got in that department, but I do know that he spent £100
There was stuff in there for Dad too but not that much, so it's good job I'm normally in charge of the shopping budget or we'd be broke by now !!I can't remember who asked about 12 Magpies but I think it's means wealth. That reminds me that we won the lottery last night, a whole £5, that's the most we've ever won online. Many gentle Teddybear squidgy hugs going to those who are having bad or sad times today, seems there are quite a few on here.Take care all, stay safe and keep well.nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently12 -
Morning all. Bright and sunny here.TA that must have been so sad for the family.Camelot I hope all goes well for your uncle’s funeral. So sad that you and your aunt can’t go.Hugs to you Dumpling. You’re such a supportive mum to your family. It’s good to see you back posting.Easy salad tea tonight with pack of mic rice.Off for a run in the car yippee! Going to collect the veg box from the farm shop. I’ve also ordered bacon, tomatoes and a couple of other things. You ring them from the car park, they bring it out and put it straight into the boot. I’ve been making lots of soup with the lovely veg.Ok, hope you all have as good a day as you can x12

Morning all! I had my first cup of tea out the front this morning sitting in the sun on the doorstep. Had a chat with the next door neighbour and watched my plants grow. My mothers rosemary is going mental, it is in the stages of fowering and putting on new growth so I think I'll take some cuttings from it and if they catch, it can go out the back. The quince has also gone crazy after three years in the grond and I was lax getting supports for it so it didn't take over the world so I will have to source some metal supports for it so I can persuade it to grow in a square. The wind has died down now, thank goodness, so extra riddling [the area I'm doing is about 20ft by 9ft so it's going to take a while] is on the cards, I need the stones down the other end from where they are, the sand came in useful to bed in the concrete block path, now I have to think of new and interesting ways to use it. The path came up quite well from the pressure washing OH did yesterday, and he has both black and white paint for wood and stone, so he has plenty to be getting on with when he isn't playng COD. When he is playing COD though, he's catching up with his friends because they are also online playing due to being furloughed or in between work [one is a paramedic who's job sounds bloody awful] .We had pasta last night, the sauce was already made in the freezer, and tonight we're having fajitas of some description, I have to make the wraps but I have some masa harina which is mexican lime infused cornmeal [made a lovely cornbread with it and have been saving the bacon fat for the next one because according to the Pioneer Woman, it tastes much better with that] so home made wraps a go go tonight. I've also orderd the next shop which will be a week today, so I don't think we've done too badly considering it will have been 4 weeks since the last one. I also ordered some flour online for bread and pizza bases and really must sort out the cupboards but honestly, they can wait until I've finished playing in the garden.Dumpling, good luck with your diet but as Monna says, don't get all frustrated and decide you've blown it if you eat one biscuit. Look at the big picture. You may put one pound on, but you've lost 3 stone, so keep a tally that way rather than the other...TA, sounds awful, it must be heartbreaking for them, there are no words really. Glad to see you posting again though and hope your brother can get some answers. Ruby, cheese scones? Oh dear, you're putting ideas into my cooking head...The cornbread was very like scone texture, so maybe I'll try cheesy corn scones...I need the flour for a banana cake
My sypathies to you camelot and your aunt. It's quite difficult to think of these things happening and you can't show your respects or accept that it's happened in your head. QUite a few people having bad dreams and so on, shoring up hugs for those not sleeping well....Hey all readers along, hope you're good or alive even, wave as Tuesday trips by...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi12 -
Morning all,Mixed weather so far here, rain ,sun clouds, still chilly though-it's meant to be getting warmer towards weekend. DH has gone to DSs empty house to carry on with the kitchen. He's in construction but certainly not starting back at work yet - it's just ring and collect at his builders merchants. You ring to tell them you're there and they bring your stuff out but he was sat over an hour in the van, someone hadn't passed the order through. His next job is in someones home so no, he's not doing it & trying to get a lot of items for a new kitchen could be tricky atm.Had long phone calls with 2 friends, at least I made them laugh. One has anxiety/depression and has upped her tablets, you can tell she's very anxious. The other lost her DM, and has been trying to empty her rented flat, tricky at the mo getting rid of stuff. Having said that, we had a Charity bag delivered last week which has been collected this morning.Dumpling, good to see you. Its a good starting point to see you are 3st lighter than last time you did SW. I have to confess to stopping my online WW at the mo, combo of boredom and availability of certain food items. Still keeping my eye on the weight, I have put a bit on, not too much though.I think we're all a bit up and down these days! Evening all,
Another nice day here, quite warm, haven't done much apart from a mooch around the garden..........we seem to have a few red and black currants, very few gooseberries and huge amount of apples......I am determined to hang on to as many apples as possible for as long as possible......will dry, bottle, juice and freeze and make both cheese and jelly..
Dumpling......congratulations on the three stone weight loss, take it easy now......apparently slow and steady wins the race.......I wouldn't know unfortunately as I have been the same (over)weight for about fifteen years.
Ruby.......glad that you are improving but don't do too much.
Hugs to everybody who could do with one, stay safe
Marie
