The BBC HD channel was only a 'Preview' channel before and only broadcast for a few hours in the evening.

I understand the change is that it is now a full time channel.

    Hope this helps!

I'm sure I'm not alone with this observation. Like most people I am aware of HD Ready, which my Pansonic viera is. But I have Freeview as an inbuilt feature of this model. I'm assuming now that this transmission from BBC, is not viewable for me?.

That being so, this weekend I picked up another expression, Full HD. Maybe someone would explain this please.

In a day or so, I am due to have a Panasonic DVD Recorder (DMREX77EBK) installed, withHDMI lead, now will any of this allow me to view this BBC HD stuff.

I do not have any intentions of introducing Sky, but would consider investing in a "box" which would allow the HD stuff if the above isn't suitable.
