Working under furlough

3 weeks ago Was told to return to work as my furlough was cancelled but today received a letter from the office saying they want to contact me about returning to work today from my furlough. Meaning I’ve been on furlough and working illegally ? What can I do about this ?

Sounds like it may be a simple error like the letter sent to the wrong person?1

Have you asked them to explain the letter? It may just be an error.0

Is it a big company? Possible its just a mailshot type thing that went out in error. Have you contacted your HR or Manager and queried it?0

Or it's simply a clerical error or the letter getting sent out too late. You are not doing anything illegal, it would be the employer that would be if they are in fact claiming CJRS whilst you are working.jackch1992 said:3 weeks ago Was told to return to work as my furlough was cancelled but today received a letter from the office saying they want to contact me about returning to work today from my furlough. By return to work. Does your employer mean the physical workplace?0

d but today received a letter from the office saying they want to contact me about returning to work today from my furlough.
Have you checked the dates on the letter? Post is highly erratic. Some arrive next day whilst others are taking weeks or past a month. It is all over the place. Possibly some sorting offices are on top of it and others not.
