I am looking to book spain for a week or so in mid october to go to the mountains. I wanted to know if I book now on my credit card and the flight is not canceled but I cannot fly due to it not being allowed for continued lockdown restrictions will I be able to claim under section 75 of the cca. I know I'll get a refund from the airline if it is cancelled but I'm worried it wont be canceled and fly for things like workers and essential trips but I would be forced not to fly and loose my money. Same question as well for a hotel/villa in spain although I would imagin they would have to cancel if their govenment was not allowing foreign tourists
Thanks

No, because it wouldnt be the fault of the airline that you couldnt go and the flight flies as scheduled.
Nor would you now be covered on any insurance policy.
You would have to throw yourself on the mercy of the airlines for refunds and/or credits.1
