Need help- quick smart!

Mu mouse broke yesterday- no idea why. So I went out and bought one of those tablet things, which comes with a wireless mouse. My problem is that I am unable to click on anything to do with Zonealarm. I get the little pop ups saysing sucha thing has been blocked (normal) but I can't get rid of them. I've gone into the main bit but I can't click on anything.
Any ideas guys- its doing my head in

  • Hi Tazzababe,

Are you saying you can open files, click links, etc, and it is only ZoneAlarm that does not respond to mouse inputs?

Have you tried re-booting your PC to see if this clears it up?

    Frank.

Yes! Everything else is fine- opening up and clicking on files, internet etc. Its just ZoneAlarm. I can see the curser moving, but when I click on anything- nothing. I have re-booted computer, uninstalled and re-installed ZoneAlarm. Nothing makes a difference. In fact when I reinstalled it, I couldn't complete the process because I had to click on the ok tab- and wasn't able to.

I'd try and uninstall the tablet/mouse software but you'll need to use your keyboard by the sound of it, reboot and reinstall and see if Zonealarm pops up a warning to allow anything to do with the tablet/mouse.
  • Hi Tazzababe,

    Hmmm, sounds pretty weird.

I'd try Seagull's suggestions and see if that resolves it.

I know ZoneAlarm can do freaky things as I've been running it on my PC
for many years, so it could be a conflict with your neawly installed
    mouse software.

    Frank.
  • if you set your mouse to "snap to" then press enter on your keyboard when zone alarms needs you to click ok that might work...other than that get rid of zone alarms and use something else...hths:D

Thanks for all the advice. Tried everything now, so it looks like I'm going to have to search for an alternative.
