PCH Contract Ending - Car Insurance Finishing...

Hi Folks,
My Audi A3 PCH contract ends in July 2020...I've not driven the car since March due to the current situation. My car insurance finishes this Saturday...
I tried to contact Audi in April to terminate my contract early which they agreed to do, However, due to their super slow response time I was unable to get the contract terminated in time so now I have to pay one final rental payment in June.  My next Audi was meant to be arriving in July but probably wont turn up til Sept (which I am not too bothered about)

The question is "Do I need to renew my insurance?" I won't be driving the car anymore, it is parked up in a private locked garage where it will remain until collected.
I am in the process of booking the collection of the car with BCA hopefully the sooner the better.
In regards to insurance is it the person that is insured or the car? if it's the latter will BCA be able to collect the car if it's not insured?

You do not need to insure it, but it needs to be on SORN.

BCA are covered by their own fleet insurance.

Whilst legally the car can be uninsured and SORN'd, it is usually a condition of the PCH agreement that you have fully comprehensive insurance in force on the car. They're unlikely to check if it's insured, but if something awful happens (like the garage burns down or the car gets stolen) then you'll be in a bad place.
If the agreement is over & you've made your last payment but they are slow collecting (which they are at the moment) then they can add it to their fleet policy.

Thanks for the prompt reply...I don't think i can SORN the vehicle as I don't pay the road tax and I don't hold the V5.

Glad to know BCA are covered.
