I am a registered childminder,at the moment not working.Have been told I am not eligible for the scheme, don't know why.I am a widow and apart from a small pension from my late husbands employers, which I feel should not come into consideration,my fees are my sole income.i don't qualify for UC because I have savings.I feel am being punished from all corners.

Certain criteria must apply for you to be eligible for the SEISS grant. Take a look at this link https://www.gov.uk/guidance/claim-a-grant-through-the-coronavirus-covid-19-self-employment-income-support-schemeOther than that there's no other benefits that you could claim. Self employed are unable to claim New style JSA and you will have to live off your savings.
