Re pay if term time only

Hi anybody know if you work in a school where you stand with with bank holidays and half terms re pay pls.

Seeing as schools do not open on bank holidays regardless of a pandemic, i can't see why pay conditions would change.

Some schools (mine included) are offering to open on bank holidays and during what would be holidays to provide care for key worker's (and vulnerable) children. As a teacher on what I consider to be a reasonable salary I have volunteered to cover this as have all my healthy colleagues (we are not going anywhere...).

My school (and others I know of) have asked for volunteers during holidays so I see no ground for complaints. If you are being compelled to work it may be a little different, if you are a teacher on teacher's pay and conditions (burgundy book) I think goodwill should be covering it if it is fair and management are doing their share etc. If you are a TA/support staff I think it is only fair you are compensated for any extra you do, but would you actually be doing any extra? In my school there isn't a great deal for TA s to do from home, yes they are doing online courses and doing prep for next year, but on their rota days they are in school so not doing the work from home so I don't see where they are doing extra so to speak.
