At my former place of work, my colleagues' survival rates were so poor I decided the best retirement plan was not to retire.

The union even had the building assessed for factors which might give rise to ill-health, but the only person who appeared to be at risk was me! They found abnormally high levels of Radon in my room, so I was sent to someone alleged to be a doctor who asked me some questions, looked at my fingernails and pronounced me healthy. I guess he knew his stuff, because the people in the three rooms surrounding mine are all dead.
