Morning all.
TA, so glad to see you back. Sending loving thoughts in your direction, also to your DD's family. It's a terrible thing they are going through.
I'm a bit befuddled this morning having slept quite heavily last night. It's my own fault, I spent Sat/Sun night reading, so was particularly tired yesterday. I thought that might have explained why I couldn't get a grip on what Boris wanted us to do now. However, I see that I'm not the only one by a long chalk. It seems as though we are being "advised" rather than "ordered." All very well if you are talking to people who are all of the same mind. Not so good if some people are going to take it as a green light to please themselves what they get up to. Oh well, I suppose it will all come out in the wash, just hope not too much damage will be done in the meanwhile.
Don't like the chilly temperatures this morning. I had to put the heating back on. I am not confessing this to a good friend of mine who is rigid about turning heating off on the first of May and on again on the first of November whatever the weather. Life's too short to be uncomfortable.
I have no plans for today except a sort of surface tidy up. I was going to have sausage and mash for lunch, but the mushrooms I bought last week are looking a bit sad, so possibly a mushroom omelette is called for.
AOD I suggest that you follow the example of Thora Hird in Last of the Summer Wine and lay a pathway of newspaper through the kitchen for people to walk on.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
I know some of you are sad, so I won't tell you to have a good day. Instead I'll advise you to simply have a day. Stay alive. Feed yourself well. Wear comfortable clothes and don't give up on yourself yet. It'll get better.
Until then, have a day.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Have trouble remembering how to fly.15 -
Morning
Confusing old message last night so today I will be mostly going out and meeting one or maybe ten people that I both do know and yet don't whilst staying in and not going out although making sure that I get exercise as many times as I want or not who knows
I may operate my government guidelines with my housework. Its important to clean the kitchen whilst making sure I don't. I could do the washing if its safe to do so and that I maintain a 2m distance from me and and the dishwasher if its safe to do so and if not then stay alert
Phew Im shattered now
Hopefully more clarification will be on its way as this is just a farce. Another Monday in paradise

I don't need to travel for my daily exercise. I can just stand at my kitchen window and watch the young lad next door working out. He's moved his punchbag set up directly in my line of fire. After developing a sweat beating the life out of that he takes 5 then starts skipping. I am absolutely shattered by the time he has finished!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"12

Young lad next door to me does 360 and 720 roundhouse kicks on his punch bag! Then skips! He does some sort of martial arts and is quite good at them! I'm exhausted watching him.
DD is quite friendly with him as they walk together to get the bus going to their schools I'm secretly glad of this as I know she will always be safe with him around (he is a year younger than her)
But he is dedicated to his sport!12 -
Afternoon folks. A bit later from me.Monna I love the advice ‘have a day’. I think that’s great - thanks for sharing it.RedRuby hope you get out on your bike.Gers I smiled at the thought of your DM’s face lighting up at the sight of her meal. You take such good care of her.Smiling too at the thought of watching work outs. I agree it must count as your own daily exercise!
enjoyed an early morning dog walk. Did a few hours of work then went to the small Sains for shopping so we’re topped up. The shop was very quiet although did have a queue of 2 or 3 when I left. Haven’t been for a week. Collect veg box tomorrow from the farm shop.
TA I’m thinking very much of the family today.Take care all x11 -
Monna, I had forgotten that mum used to do the newspaper thing when she'd washed the floor (not that often because she wasn't one for housework).
Scarlet, we are still getting things delivered because we're shielded. Laura is having to order bigger clothes for Esben as he is growing like a weed. Mind you it would be strange if he wasn't - his dad is 6'4, mum 5'11 and uncle 6'6. Laura was very long and skinny as a child so he will probably be the same.
Steve is very pleased that golf is back on the agenda, his club has put in measures so that people don't have to touch things and he will be able to keep well away from other people when he plays a round. Chris will also be happy to be able to play golf and he and Crystal will be able to go kayaking. I'm not worried abut them because we're pretty sure they've had it.10 -
Just a very quick question....
I don't have a deep fat fryer could I just put a load of oil into the wok and make onion rings that way?
I bought some onions and whilst I have chopped some and froze them I still have a few that won't get used so I was gonna make some onion rings.9 -
THUMP - I'd say yes,as long as it's deep enough.TA - I can imagine your arms going through all the motions in your mind.SNOOZER - good news for Steve at last!Window cleaner hasn't arrived, it must be next week. His rota is a law unto himself though I think he's out of sync because of the lockdown. Nothing lost.Postie has been, DM fed and watered and now it's my turn. I've got a yummy chicken Kiev to eat.12
