NatWest are offering Malwarebytes Premium free until at least May 2022. This is reminiscent of the Trusteer Rapport link but that was always free.
It still though feels like undue pressure from NatWest. Does anyone have any thoughts or information on the risks and if this is worthwhile?

Been using it for years without a problem. My licences are lifetime ones purchased a few years ago.1

I have been using the free version of Malwarebytes for some time. Doesn't cause me any issues other than remembering to do a regular scan of my system. I've taken up Nat West's offer and installed Premium on both Win 10 desktop and laptop.
Rapport was a sincere pain as it frequently stopped working and had to be reinstalled - I still get nagged about installing it when I log on to Santander!!!2 -
I've used the free version for years. Never experienced any issues with it. When I scan nothing is ever detected. Hopfully that's a good thing or it doesn't do it's job properly?

Good question. I lost access to my laptop because of conflict of installed virus protection (not the one currently on offer from NatWest) with a Windows update.1 -
Have used Malwarebytes (free version) for many years and upgrades to Premium product from time to time for trial periods only. Have found it to be an excellent product. Not demanding in terms of CPU and works well with Windows Defender, certainly no conflicts that I have ever experienced.Nat West offer sounds good value on the face of it as a 2 year license for Premium version is circa £50 unless you have some sort of discount code2

It's a good offer,. Barclays used to give Kaspersky for free.
Malware bytes is a good security software package.Given everyone should have one running on all their devices, this is a decent saving per household.Does it interfere with Windows Defender? On installation I imagine the premium version deactivates windows defender, most AV programs do. It replaces windows defender in terms of functionality.
Windows Defender is actually okay these days, but a complete security package like malwarebytes premium is still a more secure option overall.
