You won't receive any help with your mortgage. To receive help in a loan for mortgage interest you need to be claiming universal credit for 9 months with zero earnings. Did you take out any insurance for this sort of thing? If you didn't then you need to speak to your mortgage lender.

In the meantime if you don't have savings/capital of more than £16,000 then look at claiming Universal Credit. Use a benefits calculator to check entitlement before you claim. A claim for UC will end any tax credits you may already be claiming.

If you are not insured for loss of income, apply for a 3 month mortgage break.

I assume the 1 months' money is in lieu of notice.  Are you also receiving a redundancy payment?
  • Hi yes one mont lieu of notice. No insurance I was told my job was very safe for the future. I m  not sure how I can miss 9 payments before I get help. I need to talk to Natwest.
