Redundancy payment - worked out before or after minimum wage increase

Hi, I was made redundant on May 1st due to the current situation but was told about it 6 weeks before (they had to give this notice period). My question is - they've worked out my 'one week's wage for every year of service' on my pre-6th April wage. My wage obviously went up after the minimum wage increase on April 6th so should they have paid me a little bit more redundancy as my weekly wage went up. Is it calculated at time of letter or time of redundancy?
Thanks in advance!

Redundancy pay should be based on your salary on the last day of employment. Were you furloughed? Otherwise yes you should of received the uplift for the increase in NMW. Have you actually received your redundancy pay? Have you checked the paid calculation. Assuming you work a 37.5 hour week you would be due £19.13 per week of entitlement.
It is probably just a mistake, just ask your old employer to confirm the final calculation used and if it is wrong submit a grievance to them asking them for the difference.I used to be known as ableandy but can't get into my old account anymore0
