PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING: Hello Forumites! In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non-MoneySaving matters are not permitted per the Forum rules. While we understand that mentioning house prices may sometimes be relevant to a user's specific MoneySaving situation, we ask that you please avoid veering into broad, general debates about the market, the economy and politics, as these can unfortunately lead to abusive or hateful behaviour. Threads that are found to have derailed into wider discussions may be removed. Users who repeatedly disregard this may have their Forum account banned. Please also avoid posting personally identifiable information, including links to your own online property listing which may reveal your address. Thank you for your understanding.

The law is so diverse that qualified solicitors with 40+ years experience, still specialise in only a handful (of usually related) fields.someanonbloke said:Not sure what point you're trying to make.Oh really, but you seem to understand the law very well?
Which common law do you think is being broken?1 -
Yes, I do. Still don't know which bit of common law you think is relevant here. But you're welcome to the free advice provided so far.someanonbloke said:Not sure what point you're trying to make.Oh really, but you seem to understand the law very well?

I don't think we "need to think more clearly about what Common Law is and why it's important to protect little people's rights". "Little people" have no different rights to anyone else. As has been repeatedly said before, you are far, far too late to do anything about this, and even if you had been in time, it is highly unlikely that anything would have been changed. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales1
