Halifax mortgages help/advise!

Hello, sorry if this is a repeat question on any other posts previously, im new to this.

i had a question. Im really looking to get a new mortgage, whether i can or not because of covid-19 at the moment is something else.

But i have a full time employment of 8 months, permanent 36 hours a week. And a part time job. It is permanent also, and have been in this role for 3 months.

Would it be a problem ive been in the part time role for 3 months. As halifax usually state on their site a new job can be started even if its your main job for a month showing latest payslip. So would my part time role be an issue? I can obviously provide the contract stating the details.

Finally as far as i know on their website it doesnt mention anything about second jobs being considered for a certain percentage, does that mean they take the part time job fully into account when they calculate your borrowing potential?

Any advise would be great. Stay safe during this torrid time.

thank you.

Go to a mortgage advisor for free advice, there will be plenty in your area who can help. They normally have an intimate knowledge of what the banks do and don't like... very few people seem to apply directly through the banks unless they're 110% sure they'll be accepted. I for one have been rejected by Nationwide when I applied direct, then when I went to the mortgage advisor he applied again and I was accepted 10 days later as he had a contact to talk to where he explained some more of my situation and the underwriter changed their decision...

    Second Job

    Our Question

Do you accept income from more than one job?

    Our answer

In cases where the customer has more than one job, we will consider the following when deciding whether or not to take the secondary income into account. Hours worked, are they sustainable? Are the roles/skills similar? What is the distance between the jobs and the customers home? How long has the customer been in both jobs? Is the salary consistent with the type of employment? And the number of days the customer works per week.

I think the conclusion is you won't know until you ask, or one of the brokers comes along and tells you specifics that Joe public can't get off the intermediaries site. With myself, they took into account all of my overtime which was paid to me through PAYE with a separate payslip / employee number, so as good as a second job.
