Google Pay declined since card updated

in Credit cards
I have Google Pay set up to make contactless payments for a TSB credit card where TSB are still not issuing contactless cards. Since my previous card expired at the end of April I have been having problems with it. I originally forgot to update the card so it was declined when I used it. I then went into Google pay to update the card details and did so successfully (I thought). However ever since then whenever I try to use Google Pay in a shop the payment is declined and I have to use the real card for chip and pin. However because the card in Google Pay is no longer out of date, I cannot go in and amend the details. Needless to say, I cannot get through to Tsb on the phone. Any suggestions?

Double check all the cardholder details have been entered correctly. I have previously put in a 'start date' instead of the 'expiry date' by accident. It was obviously a big fat fail!!I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

Is there a way to get back in to the card details once updated? I can't find it - only managed to get in previously because the card was out of date and needed updating.

- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Play Store app .
- Tap Menu Payment methods. More payment settings.
- If asked, sign in to pay.google.com.
- Under the payment method you want to edit, tap Edit.
- Make your updates.
- Tap Update.

If your card issuer replaces the physical card for any reason, you usually have to edit or delete/re-add it to Google Pay. The expiry date and three digit CVV2 usually change on any replacement card.0
