We have a holiday booked for July to spain, I'm waiting on my daughters passport to be processed since 23rd March (renewal) I have a 18 month old who does not have a passport, I'm stuck on what to do, getting a picture is almost impossible over 50 photos and somehow they are just fair none accepted, there are no shops open either to do this, do I just submit the best picture out the bunch or not bother getting him a passport. As on the gov website they say only to apply if urgent. Can't leave him at home if we have to go. We booked a package with onthebeach. Flying with jet2 and dont know if the holiday is going ahead. Really hope it doesn't. Thanks

Getting pictures are impossible? I doubt it. Supermarkets have booths, Timpsons has said he has reopened all his shops within supermarkets as well and they will do pictures for you.

Spain announced a plan to end the lockdown, and start a "new norm"  under that plan the earliest overseas holiday makers can enter Spain is the end of June.
The chances of you going in mid July are very very slim,  but just in case it happens,  try and get photo.
In another couple of weeks the picture should become clearer for start- mid July

Oh really ok, Thank you so much for your helpful reply. I will do what I can and hopefully the photo shops open up in my local supermarkets soon.

I think what jaydde means is it is almost impossible to get acceptable photos.   HMPO are very strict on size, features, background and any line, shadow,  fly in ointment and they kick it out.  However, slightly less rigid with young babies.   IF you feel you will be going I would try to get a good photo and apply but chances are you won't be.   Daughter's does seem to be taking an unusual length of time considering it is a simple renewal even allowing for the fact they are working on skeleton staff at moment and the printers will be also.   (oh I didn't know Timpsons took passport photos for you - good advice to jaydde)

Yes your spot on there, all local Max Speil and Timpsons are currently closed by me and currently no update on when this may change And I don't want to wait too long as it may be too late, Thank you for your feedback and I am going to chance it with one of mine and hope for the best.
