Looks like the hotel has taken paymentEmily_Joy said:Tried to get more details from the co-operative bank via online messaging. Here is the answer I received:"Thanks for your message. The payment to <English translation of the hotel name as appears on the statement> was made on <date> for xxxxHUF , which shows on your statement as xxxGBP and a conversion charge of x.xxGBP. The statement shows the reference given by the company when the payment was taken. The only name we have for the payment is <English translation of the hotel name> and not the hotel name that you have mentioned. We are unable to show foreign currency's on our statements which is why this is converted and shown in GBP."
Report it as an unauthorized transaction to the Co-op, and submit the "Cancel for free" as evidence that payment shouldn't have been taken.
New User name as MSE gave me a number in my old one.

Hi I had this problem it was a robot chat system. Have you tried ringing them 02033202683.
They were very good in the end, they even said if they couldn't get the money off the hotel they would just refund me anyway. I don't know what happened in the end, I got my money. It was paid into my booking wallet, but was easy to withdraw.0 -
It is definitely not the robot chat system. I have spoken to booking.com assistants at least 3 times and have been exchanging emails with them for about 4 weeks now. They keep asking for evidence I don't have.utigers79 said:Hi I had this problem it was a robot chat system. Have you tried ringing them 02033202683.

I'm having exactly the same issue now and would be interested to hear if you ever managed to resolve this? Thanks!Emily_Joy said:
