Compost instead of grow bags for Tomatoes

In recent years I’ve grown Tomatoes in my greenhouse in a growbag.
This year I’ve not been able to buy any grow bags
I do have an unopened bag of multi purpose Compost. Can I use this the same as a grow bag?

Thanks.

You can but you will need to feed them with tomorite or similar when they start fruiting. I grow mine in multipurpose every year.
I wouldn't cut into it liek a growbag though. I use the flower buckets/pots [the ones they use for fresh flowers] you can get from Morrisons, they're usually 99p for ten or something.

Thank you -taff. I normally feed them when they start fruiting anyway. I think I have some pots that you mention. I was undecided which way to go. Thanks again.
