I meet all the criteria and can't for the life of me understand why the online tool is saying I'm ineligible.
I've requested a review - has anyone else had this and have you had the outcome?
or is there someone we can call?! I called the general HMRC helpline and they agreed I should be eligible!!
Are there any hidden criteria?

Thanks I hadn't seen that, although it's worrying that HMRC reckon it's all working fine with no glitches0

I received my letter, earlier in the week, and registered with the Government Gateway, as asked to, and was informed that I was eligible after i'd fed in all the details it asked for, it was far simpler than I ever imagined it was going to be !
At which stage did you get told you weren't eligible ?

Well I haven't received a letter but saw that the online tool was available to fill in to see if a person is eligible or not - comes back saying not but you can ask for a review0

I understood they would contact you if you are eligible.0

The online tool is a way to check eligibility, and gives a time at which a claim may be made, to spread the claims over a few days rather than having everyone apply at once. Unfortunately it does not always seem to give the right answer.Catsacor said:I understood they would contact you if you are eligible.1 -
That's right - the tool is bona fide but I cannot believe it is accurate as I meet all the criteria!0
