    ETF's can be exposed to widened spreads in volatile market conditions. 
    So will funds when they have to trade/swing price.
     ETFs are known to be riskier and somewhat niche  and I would probably only use if my diversification strategy is not covered by my main Index fund. 

    They can be more expensive to trade on depending on the platform
