Basically my partner left her old job on the 1st of April and was due to start a new one. Due to this outbreak that has been put on indefinite hold. Luckily her old company has agreed to furlough her. My question is how would her maternity work? As far as I'm aware you're meant to be in a job for a minimum amount of time.
Gov uk states
have worked for your employer continuously for at least 26 weeks continuing into the ‘qualifying week’ - the 15th week before the expected week of childbirth

Based on the new employer then she wouldn't qualify. She needs to look at claiming Maternity Allowance. https://www.gov.uk/maternity-allowance/eligibility
