Wired smart alarm system

Hi,

I'm looking to replace our alarm system. It's old, we don't know the engineer code, PIRs and the bell boxes are broken. It's a wired system so was hoping that we could avoid the battery changing of a wireless system and replace the components using existing wiring. I'd like it to be controllable remotely from my phone and alert my phone if it is triggered.

Has anyone got any recommendations for such a system?

Thanks!

Scantronic I-ON would suit your needs. If you want to rescue your old one, switch the power off, remove the lid and do a factory reset. In the meantime power up the hold off on the bell box if that still works and goes into alarm.
There is a good security installers forum you can get more help.

It would be easy and fairly cheap to get to existing system to send a text (or call) your mobile, either using your landline or the mobile network. Also easy to do a factory reset to get the engineer and user codes back to the default.

The only thing you wouldn't get is the ability to control the system from your mobile but you would save a lot of time and money!

As suggested, try the DIY section of this forum.......
