DMP what Avenue to take?? 5 years on..

I am in a DMP with stepchange. I owe £8k. I have paid £140 pm for 5 years. I was at £18k to begin with. I have 5 defaults. 3 drop off next month. Part of my debt around £3500 is to a credit union. I want the DMP gone asap as I want to remortgage soon. I have £3500 I can get off my father. Should I offer £3500 to settle the DMP? Stepchange advised I may struggle to get them to accept to a lower settlement as I have been a good payer! I work it to be 44% do you think they would go for it? Looking for the best way forward

Don't ask, don't get. If anything at least it'll start a negotiation off so they may come to an amount higher than that but one which you are happy with and can meet.0

When do the other 2 defaults drop, if a year or two, I think continuing with SC DMP.
Existing mortgage could be renewed onto another deal with current providers.
